Esmeralda Farms prides itself in its dedication to providing only the highest quality fresh cut flowers. For over 30 years, Esmeralda’s diverse growing regions in Central and South America have enabled it to take advantage of different climatic conditions and soil compositions.

The Esmeralda Difference: We directly own our farms which enables us to maintain the consistency and quality of our flowers by controlling every step of the production cycle. We carefully select which varieties to grow and how they are grown on our farms. Once flowers have been cut, bunched and processed using the strictest grading standards, we select specific treatments for each flower type before they are finally carefully packed and transported to our Miami distribution center.

Since 1998, The Flower Label Program (FLP) has set standards of human rights and environmental protection for flower farms throughout the world. Initiated by human rights organizations, trade unions and the flower trade, the FLP serves to ensure the following conditions:

	Freedom of association (the freedom for workers to form trade unions)
	Prohibition of child labor and forced labor
	Proper employment contracts and above-average social and working conditions
	Health safeguards and a secure working environment
	Responsible attitude towards natural resources and the environment
	Non-use of toxic pesticides and chemicals
